Wow, it seems like the last challenge just ended...oh, wait...it did! Autumn & Starr, I am working on your gift. I picked up a few last-minute supplies at Roberts last night, so I'm gunna pop in a nice chick flick tonight and get to work!
I'm SO excited to start "the more you give, the more you live" challenge for March. If you're new to the challenge...you can check out the details in the sidebar to the left. Basically, you have ONE week to find some way to GIVE to someone else, then report back to me by leaving a comment here about what you did. Big or small, simple or involved...just get giving! Time, money, talent, kindness...we all have something to give. So, spread a little love in your corner of the world. You have until the end of the day on the 7th, then I will randomly draw a name from those who participate...and they will receive a handmade gift from me! There are no guarantees as to what exactly the gift might be, but it will be handmade, and I can assure you it will be sufficiently obsessed over before leaving my hands. :)
I can't wait to see what you all decide to do this week! I know my girls are each going to find someone to give a compliment to every day at school this week. Be creative & have fun!
good things...
1. Abbie & Ellie getting invited to a cousin sleep-over last night (thanks, Jeff & Kim!)
2. Marie & Katie bringing me YUMMY dinner & stealing Eden away for the afternoon
3. cuddling up with my sick Bubi...so sweet

OK this isn't a huge deal but it's something to write for my entry! There is a gal in Fernley who started a chapter of TunesfortheTroops.org and I went through our CD collection and donated 31 CDs to her. She collects CDs and DVDs and sends them to our guys serving overseas. She is also collecting addresses of servicemen to send packages too, so if you think it's something Justin might enjoy, send me his address and I'll pass it along.
What a fun contest. I'm looking forward to reading what ways people find to give this month!
That is such a great idea! I'll ask Justin if he's interested.
Just catching up on all the posts...each one was great. I especially like the Afghan pics. Thanks for all you do for other people. We think you're very, very special.
Love, Dad

Sue I packed up 6 garbage bags full of clothing that we no longer need, and probablyhave not needed for quite a while now. I have them in a room- just waiting to decide exactly where I want them to go. NOT DI this time...I am challenging myself to think beyond this time. Not just the easy out.
Thanks again for the wonderful motivation.
I finally thought of something!
There is an older lady in our ward that had a stroke and has been really sick. O Thursday before YW, I took her a plate of cookies and a card telling her to call me if she needed anything. Now I feel like a total bragger...!
Abbie & Ellie each found people every day to give compliments to...we had to have a few discussions as to what is considered a compliment. It was good practice for them--they were very sweet.
