It's a new month...
which means it's time to get those "great idea" wheels turning! May is a great month to serve, don't you think?!
So find a neighbor, friend, stranger--anyone--and ask yourself, "What can I do to help?"
(Wouldn't this make a great family night activity?!)
You have SEVEN whole days, so get out there & make your corner of the world a little better!
Don't forget to come back & leave a comment
about what you've done.
Don't want to toot your own horn?
Well, we've had this discussion...so don't be shy.
Just for fun, at the end of this month's challenge (as always), I will randomly choose one "giver" as the recipient of a handmade gift from me. :) I make no guarantees as to WHAT this gift will be, or WHEN (as Autumn & Starr can attest) you will receive it...but if you're chosen, it will come!
And remember...
"the more you give,
the more you live"
good things...
1. nice people
2. knowing my husband has arrived at Camp Stone safely
3. babies that still like to cuddle

We are trading days at our house to be special "doers" or "givers" or "do gooders", anyway Mother's Day will be Father's Day at our house because we are sending our Pa to Texas for a week on June 2nd so he can be at his brother's and attend a nephew's wedding. He doesn't know yet and we couldn't wait for Father's Day to give him his gift because it happens before then. Anyway, it's something he's been wanting to do and hopefully he will get to see the Alamo while he is there.
I have a friend with celiac disease (no gluten). The YW in our ward were making cinnamon rolls to sell for Mother's Day. I knew she bought some so her husband and daughter could eat them, but that didn't seem fair to me. So I went to the store and bought a homemade bread mix that was gluten free. The intention was to make her some cinnamon rolls out of that, but after the dough had risen I realized it was too sticky and I couldn't use flour to roll it out with. So I mixed in my cinnamon-sugar and baked it right in the pan it had risen in. When the kids and I dropped it off, she gave me a great big hug and thanked me for saving her from cinnamon roll cravings. I know food has gotten hard for her since she was diagnosed, but I'm glad she was able to enjoy a little bit of normalcy on Mother's Day.
Thanks for that idea, Stevie. There's a boy in our ward with that, and he has a hard time.
