I've had so many people LOVING this challenge that I've decided to do it once a month...maybe the first week of every month (the 1st through the 7th). I'll add it to my sidebar somehow, and at the end of the week there will be a random winner chosen from those who participate and leave me a comment sharing how they served. The prize will always be a handmade gift from me...which will remain a surprise until it arrives in the winner's mailbox! Isn't that exciting?! So spread the word...because we know the more we give, the more we live...which, in turn, means the more we live, we more we give...and the snowball begins.
One of the great lessons I've learned through Justin's deployment is that life is always crazy. If we wait for things to slow down...we'll be waiting FOR-EV-ER! Every stage of life allows us to serve differently. We may be able to give our time at one point, our money at another, or both...if we're really lucky! It may just be an extra effort to show kindness. But the one thing I'm sure of, is that EVERYONE can give SOMETHING. Have you ever known someone who seems to always be giving, and you wonder how they have the time or energy to keep it up? Well...it's not always easy, and it can (and often does) require sacrifice...but it FILLS. YOU. UP. I'm convinced that God recognizes those who are willing to serve, and gives them a little something extra to keep them going.
So, February's challenge will end Wednesday, the 25th. Then, to stay on track, March's challenge will start on the 1st! Now get going...and report back! I want to hear what you're doing. :)

Sue- I just brought some homemade bread to my new neighbor, totally cliche, but kind of a big deal for me b/c I'm a horrible neighbor.
I just washed my mom's HUMONGO bread mixer bowl and cleaned the whole kitchen because the fireside is at our house on sunday.
Both very worthy deeds! Thanks guys...for putting some love out there. :)
