Abbie's Blog

Abbie is way too smart for her own britches! About a year ago, she wanted her own email address, so her friends could email her when we moved...she had just turned 6! Nevertheless, we set it up and made little cards for her to pass around with her new address & email address. She was VERY excited and still checks her email several times a day, responds to any emails she's gotten, and then files them away in their appropriate folders.

Since Justin left, she's always asking me to open up his blog for her. (She loves to leave comments.) Then, when she realized that several family members had blogs, she was addicted! (I can't imagine who she got that from ;) I bookmarked all the family blogs in a little folder for her, so she could check them when she wanted.

Well, I new this next step was coming...Abbie asked me today if she could start her own blog. I told her she could, and showed her the different templates she could choose from. She, of course, wasn't interested in any of them. She wanted one like mine & Justin's with "3 rows". So we spent the afternoon searching through countless digital papers for her background, and she finally settled on two. Although, she did keep asking me if she could change it later. I assured her it wasn't set in stone, then told her it would take me a few minutes to format everything. She quickly disappeared...returning with this...

Within moments, she had compiled 4 pages of "post" ideas she wanted to write about. I had to stop her after 2 entries...she would have gone all night!

When did kids get so stinkin' smart?!

Anyhow, I've linked her on my list of favorite bloggers, but you have to be invited to view it. So if you want to take a peak, and haven't received an invitation, just shoot me an email (or leave your email address in my comments) and I'll add you to her list.

good things...

1. technology
2. staying connected
3. seeing myself in my little girl

She is on the ball! It is addicting, that part I hate. I just helped my 12 and 10 year old start their own.

By the way, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Peacegiver!
