A stranger in our house...

A stranger's been living in our house this past year...her name is Deployment Sue. She may look like me. You may have even mistaken her for me a time or two...but I assure you, we are nothing alike!

Deployment Sue is, frankly, a little (lot) crazy, unreliable, emotional, irritable--pretty much a basket case most of the time. She claims she's just REALLY tired ALL the time, but come on...can anyone really be that tired? My kids just think she's grumpy, and can't wait for her to leave. :) I've tried to ask her to leave, but she just won't go. I'm hoping when Justin gets home, she realizes there's just not room for her anymore.

Anyhow...I wanted to make a formal apology, on her behalf, to any of you who might have fallen victim to her rude behavior in the last year. If she has...

failed to return your phone call
made empty promises to "get together"
forgotten your birthday
failed to reply to an email
canceled on you
forgotten to pick you up from school :)

...I'M SORRY!

She is my house guest, so I take full responsibility for her actions. Once she's gone, feel free to give me a call...I promise I'll call you back, and we'll "get together" real soon.

She's pretty cute...maybe we should keep her around?

You are so amazing I don't know what you are thinking. I hope you are hanging in there. I think about you often, even if I haven't made it out there. Forgive me. Hopefully before you move back. Take care and know you are loved. :)

Sounds like Real Sue could use a HUG and Deployment Sue will be leaving soon. Not too much longer! Hang in there!

Sue you have me in tears you are too funny! Does one of the Sues need a break and your neighbor here in Lehi can watch your kids? Or better yet, my husband can watch all of the kids and we can go get pedicures or go to lunch! Remember he did offer. Let me know and if you don't get back to me I will realize that Deployment Sue didn't allow you to read this! Just kidding! Though I would love to see you!

I think "Deployment Sue" has done a great job. Keep up the good work. It is almost over.
Love you,
Mom

So if that's deployment Sue- what is my excuse for canceling or not coming to get togethers?
Sue you are a wonderful woman. You truely inspire us all to be a little better and try a little harder each day.
Thanks for allowing your husband to serve our country and all of us, while you stay home to hold the fort down.

I'm confident that "Deployment Sue" will be going on a permanent vacation very soon! You're a great example of a quote I remember from Sister Hinckley, something like this, "You can either laugh or cry. I choose to laugh. Crying gives me a headache." You may be my baby sister, but I admire you so much and love you like crazy! Hang in there, girl; the end is in sight!
Love always,
Beth
