For any of you who we didn't have an address for (or sent a card to a wrong address and had it sent back), here is our Christmas card...
What a crazy and exciting year this has been! Justin graduated from residency--finally! We bid a sad farewell to our friends in California, and headed east, where Justin is now working as a full-fledged doctor. We are quickly adjusting to life in a small town--a much needed change of pace for our little family.
In March, Sue gave birth to a perfect, gorgeous, ridiculously happy baby boy--who she has a serious crush on! Aside from her crash course on all things boy, Sue's days are filled with princesses, dress-up, make-believe...and, oh yeah...homework, girl fights, cheeky monkeys, crayon on the walls, potty-training, make-up in the toilet...you get the idea. Ahhh...the bliss of motherhood!
Abbie (6) is in 1st grade this year. She is such a cute, thoughtful, smart, fun little girl. She's had no problem making new friends. She loves playing soccer, singing, dancing, and is now learning to swim and play the piano (thanks to Dad's fierce piano skills). She is definitely the big sister and mother hen. She is such a big help to her mom.
Ellie (4) is getting ready to start kindergarten next year. She can't wait to do all the big kid stuff Abbie gets to do at school. Ellie is our little bundle of energy. She keeps us on our toes, and keeps us laughing! She played soccer for the first time this year, and entertained us all with her princess/ballerina/soccer girl moves. She loves to dance, draw, tease, play dress-up, tease, "babysit" Ammon, and tease. Did we mention she likes to tease?
Eden (2) is the cuddliest baby girl on the planet! She loves giving hugs & kisses. Not just any old kind--her own little ritual of a kiss on the cheek, kiss on the other cheek, rub noses, kiss on the lips, big hug, and...do it again! Needless to say, she has the power to make Mom forget her frequent naughtiness. Eden has finally started to talk--opening up a whole new world to her...and us! It's so nice being able to communicate--in a 2 yr. old kind of way.
Ammon (9 mo.) is truly a gift from heaven. He eats (a lot). He sleeps through the night. He smiles & laughs at just about anything. We have never seen a baby with so many "tickle spots". The poor boy is definitely the son of 4 mothers. His sisters adore him. In fact, "babysitting" Ammon is about the only chore the girls do without complaint. We are so blessed to have him in our home.
This holiday season, we are indeed grateful for the many gifts that are ours through the Savior. We are grateful for His life, His example, the power of His atonement, and the great plan of happiness our Father has in place for us. May we each remember and enjoy these great gifts.
With Love-
Justin, Sue, Abbie, Ellie, Eden, & Ammon
