My good friend, Brynn, does Flashback Fridays on her blog. I looooove the idea, and she told me I could steal it...so I'm going to!
With so many good photos to choose from, I had a hard time deciding where to start. But when I came across this photo, I knew I needed to start with someone who is a part of most of my childhood memories--my brother, Guy. Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I love my little brother. He was always my best friend growing up, and I honestly never remember having a serious fight with him. He's funny, smart, honest, sincere, and truly strives to do the right thing--all the time. I admire him on so many levels. The list of memories I have of him & with him are endless. I could not have asked for a better friend to grow up with!
This picture stirs up so many memories for me. This is the only vacation I remember as a child that didn't involve camping and/or fishing. Our parents took us to California/Disneyland. This was my first time ever seeing the ocean...
I LOVED it! I have such vivid memories of standing on that beach with Guy (who was later attacked by a massive wave and ended up wearing my coat the rest of the day). I suppose this has something to do with my love for the ocean today. I could sit on the beach and listen to the water for days...it's therapeutic for me.
So there you have it--a little peak into what makes me...me!
good things...
1. memories
2. little brothers
3. sand in your toes

Awww! Love this idea. If I ever get old photos organized, I'm asking permission to steal it. (don't hold your breath...)
DITTO to all you said about Guy. He and Kristin are a WONDERFUL match. Love those two.
Steal away!
I have a friend who does Flashback Friday and I love to read those posts. So now I am excited for your Friday posts also! Love the photo, old photos are the best!
what a fun idea...I look forward to your flashbacks!
Hey, Sue,
I love the photo and the fun memories. You and Guy are the cutest. I remember that trip, too. I had a new baby (Scott) and it was the first time I missed out on a family vacation - I was so sad, but I'm glad you guys made some awesome memories. As usual, your blog is awesome! Hope you're surviving your Mother's Day - see you all soon!
Love, Beth

Sue,
What a wonderful picture... a total classic. So nostalgic and a great memory too. I feel for guy. A surprise wave got Emma her first trip to the ocean. I will never forget it. Luckily Emma has. Happy Mother's Day. We look forward to having you close. We will have to set up a play date sometime if you guys ever want to come all the way up here.
My name has a LINK! I am too cool! Thanks Sue! :)
