I'm the winner!

To any of you who think you've got the best husband ...sorry, I've got that award in the bag! I know lots of you who have phenomenal husbands, but there's only room for one at the top. (Allow time for Justin's face to turn red.) Check this out (get out the tissues, ladies).

Seriously, I feel so blessed this Christmas season. My gifts are all things that can't be unwrapped, but have been presented to me in the most meaningful ways. To name just a few...

~by some miracle, I love my husband even more
~I have the 4 BEST kids--ever (despite their naughtiness :)
~as I've advocated for their needs, collected items given so willingly, washed loads of coats & backpacks
...I've come to love these nameless kids on the
other side of the world
...I want the best for them
...I want everything for them

~I have been overwhelmed by people's kindness
~I've learned that no one can do EVERYTHING,
but everyone can do SOMETHING
~my life has been changed by the
tender mercies of the Lord

~Christmas, for our family, has been changed forever
~I am more grateful...for every. single. thing.
~I've learned that some of the greatest gifts aren't
always easy to see as gifts
...we have to look for the gift in everything

good things...

1. a husband who sees this experience for what it is
2. kids who haven't complained ONCE about giving their Christmas to other kids
3. Christmas goodies showing up on my doorstep every night...yum!
4. ice cream & hot chocolate for breakfast this morning :)

Who is the good looking guy in the picture?

Oh, I guess that was me. I didn't recognize myself with hair.

I love you. Merry Christmas.

Your family is the best. I love to read about your experiences. I am glad to hear that you are "feeling the joy" in your situation, at least for a moment or two! We SO appreciate Justin's service!

Hi Sister Jones,
This is Hannah. My sister and I just wanted to let you now that we are getting baptized on Jan. 10. It's been a long time in the making; church for a year, along with 8 months of missionary lessons, and mutual for years, and a month of seminary; but we told the missionaries last week that we wanted to get baptized. We're hoping that you could come. I can't wait to hear from you.
With love,
Hannah
Oh, and if you wanted to get a hold of me you could reach me at:
