Happy Anniversary!

Good morning, sweetie! I just wanted to say I love you, I love you, I love you, & happy anniversary! Eight years of bliss...mixed in with a little trauma, lots of mishap, tears of joy...and desperation, a few surprises, and loads of love in all the right places. Yep...that's our life! I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks again for the flowers...they smell sooooooo good today. They seemed to bloom overnight--just like our love. Okay, cheesy, I know...I couldn't help myself.


But seriously, I am missing you so much. I want you to know there is no one on the planet I love more than you. Last week in church, the Bishop shared his testimony about how the Lord blesses us with trials in answer to our prayers. He also warned that if we ask the Lord for something, we better be prepared to accept the way in which he chooses to give it to us. I was very grateful for his words, and couldn't help but think of the things I was praying for at the time we received the news of your deployment...a stronger marriage, a closer family, a greater relationship with the Savior, a better understanding of the Gospel, & an increased knowledge of my purpose and what the Lord expects of me. I have to say, we've just begun this journey and each of those prayers have already been answered. I have no doubt that they will continue to be answered in ways I cannot yet comprehend. I am doing my best to be grateful and to view this experience as a wise & thoughtful answer to my prayers, rather than just one more trial to endure. Some days are better than others...but I am trying. I love you so much! Know that I am thinking of you and missing you constantly, but especially today.
