Stinkin' Voice Mail

Just a quick apology to anyone who's left a message on my voice mail since we moved. Justin set up the phone stuff before he left, and I didn't realize exactly what the package included. I mentioned to him that no one ever left messages (on our old, yet reliable answering machine), and he asked if I had checked my voice mail. My response was, "what voice mail?"

So, tonight I finally found the little welcome manual from our phone people (conveniently hidden beneath AAAAALLLLLL the junk that has already accumulated in the self-proclaimed "junk drawer"). After setting up my password and recording some lame message like 12 times, I was finally able to access my 32 lost messages!

Here I was, feeling all alone, just to find out that 32 people love me! Okay, okay...half of them were my mom, and most of the rest were people telling me how they could lower my interest rates on credit cards that don't exist...I suppose that's their way of showing they care. BUT...there were a few friendly & familiar voices, and I was soooooo sad I missed their calls. I was even more sad to think that they thought I just never got back to them. I swear--I didn't know! I love you...you know who you are. I'll be contacting you soon.

And for anyone who didn't leave me a message...get to it! I now know how to check my voice mail!

good things...

1. hearing the voice of an old friend
2. anticipating girls' nights yet to come
3. the satisfaction of conquering my voice mail

Ugh! I hate VM! Instead of listening to it, I just look at my caller ID and call them back to see what they wanted :)

Glad you figured it out!

I'm so glad. I was beginning to think you didn't remember me. :) I'm on the floor laughing at the body waxing cartoon. :)

ummm, hello? umm, hi, sue---it's haylie. this is my voicemail. i haven't talked to you much since you arrived in utah and i rarely comment on your blog because, well--i seem to have misplaced my arms. i do want you to know that i pray for you every single day and your stinkin' blog always makes me cry. i don't know if it's the music or the pictures or your sweet family or what you write. ok, it's all the above! we need to hook up some how. i think i might just throw caution to the wind and show up on your doorstep one of these days and we can take all the kids to get ice cream or something. your blog saves me. you're a wonderful mother, wife and friend!

keep smiling

haylie
