As most of you know, Justin is deploying to Afghanistan shortly...for a very long time. But before that, his family is having a reunion in Las Vegas. Well, this was Ellie's question for me at lunch:
"Mom, will we never, ever see Dad again when he goes on his mission to Las Vegas?"
Well, one of her cousins, Andy, just left on his mission to Argentina (that's where Justin served :). With that, and all the talk of Las Vegas and Dad going away, Ellie must of somehow smashed all that information into one little ball inside her head. (Kind of like a ball of playdough that's been created from several different colors--never to be separated again!) Apparently, we haven't been very good at explaining the situation to Ellie. Needless to say, we had a little discussion to clarify things. I think she gets it...maybe.

Maybe somehow you can confuse the Navy the way that you confused Ellie and they will send him on a mission to Vegas. Stranger things have happened!
PS. Please let me know how you get Justin to cook anything beyond Mac & Cheese!
